Yes, even the best coaches lose control .The NHL stars coach Rick Bowness was fined for bashing a stick on the bench during a game.
Yes, even the best coach can lose control and he´s why. Bowness was not happy about the stars being on a PK and in the situation he was not happy at the referrer for a call. In which the Stars coach Bowness lost complete control and said to ESPN,´´ If you´re watching the game ,´´ you saw what happened´´.
Due to the loss the stars fell 17-3- 2 on the season and clearly this was a factor of the coach being so angry enough that he broke a stick. Many times even the best coach ,regardless of titles and wins can and does act out of character and regardless of who the coach is or team all coaches are in the same position. Just because a coach was good at hockey coaching or playing any sport does not make them able to control themselves. Bowness calmed down and agreed to be interviewed right after the game was over.
Coaching is a stressful job especially in the professional leagues of all sports. Some coaches were former players for Professional teams or even for college or high school teams. But not all does being a former Star player help a coach remain calm and without any drama coaching his players have had a hockey coach from 2020 till 2021 who played very good hockey in the minors, college and coaches for Pope Francis JV.
The coach was unable to not insult his team during games ,winning or losing he always used his past of being a great player against are team that struggled. He would always say ´If i played right now i would have 10 goals and you all superstars are trash and can´t hit the f****** net´.
When completing research I found that in all sports coaches have had similar outbursts and I completely see why. Bill Belichick who usually is calm and contains himself sometimes loses it and this one time when trying to hug an opposing coach he had boiling rage and shoved cameraman out of the way.
Tom brady and Belichick seem to have good relationship but don't be surprised when hearing they have had yelling matches in middle of games. Losing is never easy and to say coach Dennis Green did not have a few outbursts during the game and interview would be a joke. Losing is never easy and is even harder when the team is big and ends up giving away the game. ´T
his anger explosion ´ as I like to call it could cost coach Green his job as taking out the anger like he did did not help anything.
Many articles suggested coaches are stressed and always under pressure so they may act up if the team is playing bad. Which i agree but i believe it is on them to remain calm and it is a fact coaches no matter who lose control. Coaches leading teams of 18-22 years old in college still act the same. My Brother's St. Anselm's coach from 2018 -2020 coach ´Norman 'was not hated as a coach or guy but his outbursts and comments made the team and parents hate and report him.
The coach coached 10 years and played 4 years college hockey and had over 100 college points. That shows a college coach even a good winning coach completely can lose temper. The coach was not asked back in the summer before next season started.
Even the top coaches NHL and not just in hockey NFL coaches lose control and yell at even top players and can't control screaming at them over many problems. Just because a coach was good at hockey coaching or playing any sport does not make them able to control themselves.
